With a nod to the nostalgia of MGM's grand musicals and Hollywood's silver screen sirens, Colette Brandenburg and Shannon Zimmerman co-founded the LA Follies in 2012. Inspired by past and present Hollywood films, from Busby Berkeley's dizzyingly wonderful Gold Diggers of 1935, to Funny Girl's comedic take on Ziegfeld Follies, to the opening tap sequence of The Temple of Doom, they aimed to create a company that captured that moment in time and shared it with today.

The LA Follies has since grown into a company that infuses a dash of inspiration from the grandeur of the Hollywood heyday, mixed with a bit of pop spectacle prevalent in the Los Angeles entertainment scene.
